My work focuses on the relationship of my current surroundings to my personal history. Most of my photography is architecturally based, documenting constrained sections of buildings and structures. Through both my minimalist compositions and color editing, I work towards creating new environments that are my own personal vision; I shoot in a documentary fashion but modify the images to fit my own reality. These works encompass the two places that I have lived during my life: The northern suburbs of Chicago and Sarasota, FL. These series carry themes of sequence, order, structure, and geometry. I look to create spaces that are devoid of direct human connection but carry my personal vision.
